Back in Black
Well not exactly black …
Doing NaNoWriMo this year. Hope to concurrently blog about the experience.
I’m also playing WoW again so will probably start blogging about that as well.
Upswing: not only do I alt in MMO’s, I alt in RL as well.
Here is the excerpt:
Talia cradled Tamin’s head in her lap, oblivious to the chaos and din indicating the Demimonde were swiftly approaching from down the corridor behind her. Tears found their way down her snow white cheeks creating slick rivulets that glittered in the artificial light. The Duergar, Granis, softly approached and placed his hand on her shoulder and for a moment they shared a comfort known only to those who have lost a lover.
Granis slipped his hand from Talia’s should to under her arm and hauled the startled elf up, “We have to go, NOW!”
Her mind and body, numb with grief and shock, seemed like jelly which she could not control. The Duergar was able to jerk her to her feet. Talia struggled against the Duergar’s iron grip, “I won’t leave him ..” She shook her head to clear the mists of grief that were making it hard to think
Granis, his gravely voice cutting through the din of battle, simply tugged harder and pulled the grief stricken elf maiden down the corridor, “We must get this message to Silthus. Tamis wouldn’t want this, don’t let let his death be in vain.”
